POSITION OVERVIEW

Technical sales support for Account Executives that includes 50-80% travel. Work with Account Executive to generate meetings with prospects, providing technical content for solution-based sales of Cloud Storage services. Gain understanding of prospective computing and data storage environments along with data work flow to design and architect specific Cloud Storage-based solutions to solve challenges and improve business efficiencies. Work with prospects to coordinate and deploy highly effective Proof of Concepts. Maintain relationships with clients to provide technical guidance and generate additional business uses for Cloud Storage.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

50-80% travel
Technical sales support to Account Executives
Deep technical understanding of storage and networking infrastructures
Knowledge of storage and network costs
Design and Architect data storage business solutions

REQUIREMENTS

Possess a minimum of 3-5 years proven technical sales expertise in the enterprise
A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related technical field or experience
Possess at least 5 years hands-on experience with storage and network engineering
Understand the related challenges of data storage and costs
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment while servicing multiple accounts

OTHER SKILLS

Technical knowledge of operating systems including both Windows and UNIX (Linux)
Experience with scripting languages such as Shell and Perl
Experience with HTML and W3 standards
Experience with SalesForce.com
Prior experience in managing and provisioning storage and networks
