Field Software Engineer

If so, we're looking for a field application engineer to help architect and develop solutions for our large clients. This role is both a major contributor within our company and particularly on the Engineering team.
The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience building, architecting and developing a broad range of storage solutions. You're team-driven, never territorial; freely give credit to others, and a poster child of Theory Y. You're a master at translating sales speak for engineers, developing in a variety of languages, and familiar with backup and archive solutions. THE EVERYDAY VIEW
- Work with Fortune 100 customers to translate requirements into cloud storage solutions leveraging the Nirvanix Cloud Storage Network and Hybrid and Private cloud storage deployment solutions
- Evaluate products to add new capabilities to existing solutions (for example products from Panzura, Symantec, and Commvault, among several others)
- Develop custom solutions to further strengthen existing offerings
- Communicate any customer issues to the global customer support staff
THE KIND OF PERSON WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Advanced at developing solutions using C/C++.
- Able to develop solutions using most of the following: Java, C#, Python, Perl, SOAP/REST APIs.
- Familiar with cloud solutions such as Amazon S3, Nirvanix, EMC Atmos.
- Familiar with cloud gateways/data movers from companies such as Symantec, Riverbed, Panzura, Commvault, and others.
- B.S. in Computer Engineering or related technical degree is desired.
- Excellent communication skills.
